Online Training is Cheaper than Localized Trainings

Again, one of our goals in creating the Firestarters Academy was to make it as affordable and available as possible.  Because the training is online, this drastically reduces the cost, as students do not need to buy an airplane ticket or pay for food and housing.  This is a very helpful reality that helped to bring the cost of this training program down.

Competency-Based Education is Cheaper than Traditional Training

Because we are competency-based, this means that our communities can go through the Firestarters Academy at their own pace.  Some might finish within 6 months, while some might continue for 2 years.  This is a massive advantage, because instead of having everyone pay for every single course and resource, you only pay for what you actually need.  This reduces the cost considerably when compared to more traditional training programs.

Our Firestarters Team is made up of Self-Funded Missionaries

All of us are doing this as our ministry occupation.  This means that we all raise our own financial support separately from the Firestarters Academy, and we do not receive salaries from the Firestarters Academy.  We are doing this simply because we believe in what we are doing.  Any income we generate goes directly towards covering our training expenses as well as the development of new resources, courses, and training opportunities.
