Every Group has a Community Coach
Every group, team, or community has their own designated community coach, and if you do not register with a community, you will be grouped with other individuals under a community coach. This coach will connect with your group every week, getting to know you and your community and helping you to build a roadmap forward that makes the most sense for you, both individually and corporately.
Your Personal Guide
As your community coach gets to know you, they will discover where you and your team are at, what you already might be competent in, and where would be the best place to begin. They will then start to work with your team by having you go through specific courses that will help you check off your required competencies. Some of your team might be taking different courses than others, and some people might become competent in certain things sooner than others. This is all perfectly normal and expected, because everyone is starting in different places with different past experiences.
When your community coach feels that you might be ready, you will be assessed for competency in different areas. There are individual competencies as well as group competencies: Individual competencies must be achieved by every member of the team individually, and group competencies must be achieved by the entire group all together. The role for your community coach is to walk with you all the way until you and your team are fully competent in all areas and you have completed the Firestarters Academy.
Your Pastoral Support
They will also be your pastoral care, and they will help you and your team process everything you are learning and help you discover how to apply it in your location and assignment. Ultimately, your community coach will be your personal guide throughout the Firestarters Academy.
